1) Can I have my wedding ceremony at Fernbrook?
Absolutely!! We have several beautifully landscaped gardens that are perfect for a wedding ceremony or perhaps you wish to get married out in the open or under a big tree on the great lawn. It is your choice and our team will work with you to make it happen.
2) Is there a time limit for my event?
The Inn is yours from 11 am of your wedding day to the following morning at 10 am. The wedding reception itself is five hours total with one hour for cocktails and four hours for a reception with dinner and dancing. Additional hours for the reception may be added and these will incur staff charges by the hour. We just ask that the music end by 11 pm and guests who aren’t spending the night with us, leave by midnight. After that, guests staying at the Inn may gather inside the cozy library or out at the hearth under the stars, reminiscing on the day for as long as they would like.
3) What about parking?
The choice is yours. You may hire a valet service or we will provide a parking attendant to direct the cars. If you feel that valet is preferred, we can recommend a list of companies that have worked well here in the past. The fee for valet parking is your responsibility.
4) Who takes care of table linens, china, tables, flatware, etc.?
All of this is included in the catering price at Fernbrook. Our event coordinator will assist you in choosing the appropriate patterns and will order all items for you and have them delivered to our venue. Our service staff will set up all rentals according to your plans.
5) I love what I’ve read. When can I come see the Inn at Fernbrook?
Simply phone us at 609.298.3868 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment and we will be happy to show you the Inn and the grounds at your earliest convenience. Please know that the Inn is closed on Mondays but we are happy to answer your call or give you a tour during the rest of the week.
6) What is the bathroom situation?
The Inn has 6 bathrooms, located in various bedrooms throughout the Inn. All bathrooms are available for use during your event. If your party is over 200 people, we require that you rent an additional bathroom or two.
7) Can you tell me more about overnight accommodations at the Inn?
Our historic Inn sleeps 18 guests. Please see our Accommodations page to learn about our character – filled rooms. A continental breakfast is offered the following morning as part of your stay. If you would like to invite additional guests for breakfast that did not spend the night, we are happy to accommodate this for an additional cost per guest.
8) Does Fernbrook Farms offer other items that we might want to rent for our event?
We have many, from a lemonade stand to a specialty cocktail bar to hay bales or tractor pulled wagon rides for cocktails, to canoes that can be used for coolers during cocktail hour or the reception. And these are just a few. We also can provide a variety of tabletop items such as lanterns, votive candles, galvanized metal and other types of ice buckets, accent display items and much more. If you are looking for something specific or if you would like to discuss any particular ideas you have, we would love to talk to you about these unique and custom details for your special event.
9) What about liquor, wine and beer?
Fernbrook provides the bartenders and you provide the liquor, wine, beer and mixers. Please ask us if you would like a list of preferred liquor vendors.
10) Can our pet join in our celebration?
Yes. We are dog friendly as long as your dog is friendly!!
11) How many guests can the existing tent accommodate?
Our tent can accommodate 175 guests seated with a dance area. Additional tenting may be needed if your party exceeds this number and any costs associated with this will be your responsibility.
12) Are we allowed to hire an outside caterer?
No. We have a wonderful Resident Chef who will help bring your culinary vision to life! Please see our Seasonal Menus to learn more about what we offer.
13) Do you accommodate for allergies and/or other dietary restrictions?
14) Can we have Save the Date pictures taken at Fernbrook?
Yes, we would love it! Our barnyard area is very popular for fun shots!
15) Do you offer babysitters?
Our camp counselors are often available for hire, so please inquire!
16) Do you allow rehearsal dinners?
Yes! There are many areas on the farm to do a fun or fancy rehearsal dinner!
17) What else makes Fernbrook special?
Fernbrook is a dynamic, working farm with many beautiful spots not only to get married but also to take a walk in the woods or sit and relax with a view. Our custom built hearth is a wonderful gathering place for s’mores and more, late in the evening. You may also enjoy cocktails in our Summer House which offers great views of the expansive great lawn. Feel free to roam the farm, from sunflower fields to the red barn door in our Education Center, looking for the perfect spot to sit and relax or even take a few photographs.
